The Queen has asked Union bosses if she’s getting any extra money for doing another Queen’s Speech, after doing one a few weeks ago.
Secretary of the Union for Monarchs, Peter Thape has insisted that today’s speech be paid at time and a half, or that she gets a day off in lieu.
Thape added that the last Queen’s Speech had not come up on the snagging list, so had to be treated as an ‘extra.’
‘She’s got another speech on next week, on a bank holiday,’ said Thape.
‘We’re doing you a favour with this parliament one; should really be a foreigner,’ he added.
