BBC apologises about ‘Blacking up,’ in The Flumps

The BBC has been forced to remove episodes of The Flumps from their back catalogue, following accusations of racism.

The BBC have taken the popular box sets off the iPlayer, and have withdrawn planned programmes on CBeebies.

BBC spokesman, Peter Thape defended their decision to dye some of the characters black, instead of using original black material.

‘They were different times, and things are being taken out of context,’ said Thape.

‘And Mother Flump was from The Caribbean,’ he added.
