Butter dish butter has had the most fantastic weekend of the year so far, enjoying the boost in temperature, and doing everything it’s supposed to do.
Local butter enthusiast, Peter Thape has endured a long winter with his stubborn, buttery friend.
But on both Saturday and Sunday, Thape buttered his toast today in such an accomplished and smooth action that he didn’t even need to scrape the soiled knife back onto the edge of the butter dish.
‘I’ve had to develop a near surgical style of buttering my toast through the winter, which can often add nearly 40 minutes to the day,’ said Thape.
‘Then I can end up with little black bits in the butter dish, which can leave me feeling pretty low for three or four days,’ added Thape.
