It is thought that The Church of England are trying to hijack the traditional springtime festival of Easter Eggs.
The Archbishop of York has accused chocolate manufacturers, Cadbury of omitting the word Easter from the company’s annual Egg Hunt.
But Cadbury spokesman, Peter Thape has made it clear that renaming it the Cadbury Egg Hunt is a simple recognition of Cadbury being a bigger brand than Easter.
‘We’ve got a lot of time for Christians here at Cadbury,’ admitted Thape.
‘We all love Christmas, Pancake Day, and what’s that other one they do – Passover? But please, leave Easter Eggs to the big boys,’ added Thape.
