The family of the Afghan man killed by Royal Marine, Alexander Blackman are delighted that justice has finally been done in court today.

Although the dead man’s mother and father couldn’t be there today, they have taken great comfort from watching the television pictures of cheering crowds outside the courtroom.

They have also apologised for the discomfort caused by their son for not dying from the initial gun shot, and having to be shot again at close range.

‘We have sent the money over for the cost of the extra bullets that were needed,’ said the Afghan’s mother.

‘At least justice has been done now, and this whole nasty war thing is finally over,’ she added.
