Firemen not so keen to put fire out in Croc enclosure

Firemen have been less than keen to jump into the blazing Monsoon Forest enclosure at Chester Zoo this afternoon.

With distressed crocodiles wandering around, many firemen have reached the conclusion that the fire will probably sort itself out.

Experienced fireman, Peter Thape was quick to encourage the trainee firemen to be first into the Monsoon Forest area.

‘These younger lads need to know, first hand, the things we come up against in our job,’ said Thape.

‘What? They made me go to the stores to ask for a long weight when I started,’ added Thape.
