Govt to cancel HS2 and move everyone to London instead

The government have calculated that it would be cheaper to move everyone to London, than to compete the HS2 rail link.

The migration to London will begin on Tuesday week, with Yorkshire going first, Durham, Cumbria, and sweeping round for Lancashire in February.

Local northern person Peter Thape is reluctant to move, but accepts that it is the will of the government.

‘Do they have a Pound Bakery in Hampstead?’ asked Thape.

‘Will they have vinegar for us chips,’ he added.
