Ofsted prosecute Thai schoolboys for taking unauthorised time off

Ofsted and the Local Education Authority are to take action against the Thai schoolboys for taking an unauthorised leave of absence from school.

Ofsted Inspector, Peter Thape has pointed out that permission needs to be sought in advance from the headmaster for an extended time away during term-time.

Thape acknowledges that being trapped in a cave works out significantly cheaper at this time of year, but feels unable to bend the rules.

‘Could they not have got trapped once the long school holiday begins?’ asked Thape.

‘What if everybody got themselves trapped in a cave? What a state we’d be in then,’ added former teacher, Thape.
