Pets should be wearing a mask when exercising, say Govt

As expected, the government will be announcing a date for all household pets to be kitted out in face masks and full PPE.

Dogs, cats, and chickens, who are expected to exercise outdoors, will not have to wear masks until mid-August, but local hamster owner, Peter Thape is concerned about indoor pets.

Thape is worried about legislation that affects indoor pets such as gerbils, snakes, and terrapins, who have to wear masks with immediate effect.

‘Bertie can spend up to three hours a day on his wheel,’ said Thape.

‘But after an hour in a mask his reading glasses start to steam up; what are we supposed to do then?’ queried Thape.
