‘Traffic lights are for checking Facebook!’ insist drivers

Drivers have reacted angrily to the news that the Police will be trying harder to stop them using phones whilst driving.

Local driver Murial Hislop is absolutely furious about the possible clampdown, fearing that she won’t be able to check social media until after a collision, or maybe on a big boring roundabout.

Hislop believes that the new mobile phone detectors could affect the speed with which she can react to vital new postings, and pictures of people’s meals.

‘How ever hard the police try, they’ll never stop me using my phone whilst driving,’ said Hislop.

‘They’ll have to pry it from my cold dead hand after the crash,’ added Hislop.
