The United States hopes to boost its economic growth with the launch of its new global flood defence industry.
The new company will sell flood barriers, sandbags and armbands to the rest of the world following America’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord.
Although Chief Executive, Peter Thape accepts that he’ll have to make America waterproof too, he knows that in the interim, the money will simply be flowing in.
‘Making our beeches a little steeper will probably solve the problem,’ said Thape.
‘We’ll probably empty some of the lakes beforehand too; make a bit of extra space for the new water levels,’ added Thape.
