UKIP fans have encouraged former tennis legend, Ilie Nastase to serve up a pre-election challenge to current leader, Paul Nuttall.
Nastase’s candidature has emerged from nowhere, following an overnight racist and sexist double attack on Serena Williams, and Anne Keothavong.
Nastase is looking forward to potentially leading UKIP, and can’t believe that there is a place in the world where his bizarre comments are seen as mainstream.
‘I thought I was going to get in trouble, but it now looks like I’m going to get a fairly safe seat at the election,’ said Nastase.
‘I love Britain, with its gentle undercurrent of racism, and sexism. Even in Romania, i’d be an outcast,’ added Nastase.
