Former Tory hardman, Norman Tebbit is reconsidering his plans to attend today’s funeral of Irish politician, Martin McGuinness.
Tebbit had been undecided about his presence, and couldn’t be sure whether his comments, made directly after McGuiness’s death, might be misconstrued.
Tebbit has separately announced the cancellation of his upcoming comedy tour that would have seen him visit the workingmen’s clubs of Ireland to discuss his views of the Irish conflict.
‘I would definitely have gone to the funeral, I was a great fan of Martin, and his beliefs,’ said Tebbit.
‘But what with the business in Westminster yesterday, it feels the wrong thing to do,’ added Tebbit.
