May hoping that Brexit leads to a trade deal with Europe

As Prime Minister, Theresa May triggered Article 50, she delivered a vision of how a post-Brexit Europe can look.

May has told fellow European leaders that she imagines a time when Britain could buy goods from European countries, and that they could also buy them from us.

May additionally hoped that we could eventually trade with one another as freely as possible, ensuring that we work together to make a safer, more secure and prosperous Europe.

‘Perhaps, ultimately working towards having a central legislator that is devoted to equality, and human rights,’ added an enthusiastic May
