Tories pledge 20,000 more ‘coat beds’ for the NHS

The Conservative Party have reacted quickly to criticism that they don’t care about the NHS, by promising an extra 20,000 coat beds for the infirm.

Boris Johnson was singled out earlier today for seeming not to care about a four year old boy who lay in hospital on a bed made of coats because of bed shortages.

But Johnson has since turned the situation to his advantage by offering to supply an extra 20,000 coats to the NHS for patients to lie on.

‘There will be duffle coats, anoraks and parkers,’ promised Johnson.

‘Some of the parkers will have furry collars for extra comfort,’ added The Prime Minister.
