Game manufacturers, EA Sports have developed a version of the traditional street game tig, which allows children to sit in comfort whilst virtually catching one another in the street.

The leading games creator is looking to add Hide and Seek, French Cricket, and Kick-stone 123 to its portfolio over the next 12 months. Bobby Thape (13) is looking forward to playing with other children from all over the world through his X-Box console, which sits neatly wedged between the telly and the foot of the imposing chocolate brown, leather, four seater couch in the front room.

‘These new games are brilliant! My mum’s always talking about playing with the other kids,’ said Bobby.

‘And these are the games that she always used to play, so she’ll be really pleased,’ he added.
