People are now holding their breath for up to four hours at a time when on walks, in the supermarket, or if a jogger runs by.
Local non-infected man, Peter Thape held his breath for 9 straight hours yesterday on a pleasant walk with his family.
During the walk Thape needed to say thank you to some kind people who had stepped aside to make room, but he was unable to speak because of his extreme breath holding.
‘There was a woman by the soup at Aldi for ages, and I needed some,’ explained Thape.
‘Just held my breath, tried to get an angle on the minestrone, but it went on for so long I nearly passed out,’ added Thape.
