Divorcing couples not so quick to return wedding presents

Divorcing couples have been heavily criticised for not returning the gifts given to them on the occasion of their marriage.

The original wedding guests can be the forgotten victims of divorce, often worried that the dinner set, glasses, or other fancy shit that sits in the cupboard was bought for no reason.

Chairman of The Campaign for Genuine Presents, Peter Thape has asked the courts to consider the return of all butter dishes, napkin holders, and other useless stuff that people buy from John Lewis.

‘Returning wedding presents is just the start,’ said Thape.

‘We’re looking at the birthday gifts for people that don’t then last the full year,’ added Thape.
