Grammar school to build premier pavement alongside council pavement

Parkwell Independent Grammar School is to construct an exclusive pavement, alongside the present council pavement, for its own pupils to walk upon.

Although there is no need for the pavement, the respected Lancashire school have pointed out that the path will be funded by school fee payers.

The path will be of better quality than the municipal one, providing a better overall standard of walking. Pupils will use the proposed path to walk between the school and the private school bus embarkation point, at the beginning and end of the school day.

‘The school buses will still be on the public roads though. Some sort of toll road might be a solution,’ offered the Chairman of School Governors, Peter Thape.

‘I’ll have a word with Roocroft at the Council, he’s an Old Parkwellian,’ added Thape.
