ITV’s decision to have celebrities stripping for tonight’s Full Monty should guarantee material for another ITV show featuring future comedians mocking television from 2017.
The comedians have probably not been born yet who will be placed in front of a TV monitor, and have their horrified reactions recorded, as they witness men stripping for our entertainment.
ITV’s Head of Light Entertainment, Peter Thape did consider female celebrities performing The Full Monty, but feared a possible negative reaction.
‘People suggestively stripping, to garish music, is all a bit of fun,’ said Thape.
‘I think it would have been seen as just for laughs if it was women taking their clothes off too,’ added Thape.
