Shoppers are pleading with supermarket staff to stop walking them to the location of a product, and just tell them which aisle it’s on, instead.
Britain’s shoppers have had enough of overly-efficient shop people doing you the service of accompanying you to exactly the right place. Shopper, Peter Thape (27) needed some coconut milk and tried his luck in the ethnic aisle, before mistakenly asking a nearby member of staff to give him a clue of the coconut milk’s whereabouts.
‘We walked nearly a mile together. I felt the need to keep starting small conversations,’ said Thape.
‘If I wanted to feel that uncomfortable, I would get my old job back selling PPI,’ added Thape.
