A 27 year old man has managed to slide into a hotel bed and push the sheets free from their stapled down position so that he does not suffer a haematoma in the night.
Although Peter Thape from Cambridge had been working hard towards it, he had not expected to successfully manage the hotel sheet challenge at this point of his training.
Thape had prepared for his recent stay in a hotel room with leg extension reps, and two sets of leg curls with heavy weights.
‘We have a hotel bed in the gym, but they won’t normally let you practice in it unless there are two housekeeping staff there to spot,’ said Thape.
‘I just started to push and push with both legs, and I nearly cramped up, but you’ve just got to push through the pain. It was brilliant,’ added Thape.
