A 38 year old man from Berkshire is inconsolable after soiling his inside slippers with an ill-judged trip to the bins.
Peter Thape from Reading thought he could seamlessly slip from the back door to the grey bin, but an unforeseen children’s scooter diverted his right foot into a muddy puddle.
Thape had invested seven months in the slippers, which were now a perfect mould of his feet, warmly caressing every bump and fall of each foot.
‘I suppose I could wash them, but then they’d fluff up, and lose their shape,’ said a rueful Thape.
‘I think I’ll break a new pair in. I’ll just put on my outside slippers, and take these to the grey bin,’ added Thape.
