Leaked rumours are suggesting that counter staff at McDonald’s could be asked to use more discretion when deciding which of their customers may have already had enough to eat.
The fast food chain may follow the example of the drinks industry, where front-line staff are empowered to decide if a customer has already been affected by a lavish consumption of alcohol.
Staff could decide that those with a particularly tight T-shirt, straining belt, or sweating neck should be downgraded from 9 nuggets to 6, or have the salt wiped off their medium fries before eating.
‘I intend to lose 2 stone before I next go in,’ said customer, Peter Thape.
‘I can’t afford to miss out on the new Double American, with extra bacon, cheese and special sauce,’ added Thape.
