Despite millions of years of evolution, men have admitted that they are still a bit unsure and conflicted when their wife needs a reassuring hug.
A dads.com survey has discovered that men were now able to listen sympathetically to their wife’s problems for up to 15 seconds before offering up a host of practical solutions.
Chairman of the National Society for Sympathetic Men, Peter Thape reflected on the time that his wife had burst into tears whilst telling him how one of her friends had ignored her in the supermarket.
‘I held my crying wife close to me, which I know, was the right thing to do,’ said Thape.
‘But then I felt her puppies on my chest, and wondered if it was the right time to make a move,’ admitted a confused Thape.
