Nans have scooped up the last of the presents that they’ll need for next Christmas.
Local Nanna Hislop (79) has picked up wrapping paper whilst it bottoms out at 25p a roll, some DVD’s, and cleared the pound shop shelves of that odd range of books that they sell.
Nanna Hislop is aware that she needs some margarine for the new potatoes, which she will get mid-November, but then that’s the lot, all done.
‘I like to be settled, so I can enjoy Lorraine,’ said Nanna.
‘I don’t want to be out and about in June or July, I could get a chill,’ added Nanna.
