Additional demands on the police force have led to the recruiting of new staff from one of London’s premier performing art schools.
It is now felt that the prerequisite qualification of A-level Theatre Studies is no longer sufficient for the camera friendly style of modern policing. With police-chase and patrol car action dominating our TV screens, only the finest theatrical students are being considered as ‘rookies.’ The Artistic Director of the police is Peter Thape, and he is quick to acknowledge the skills required for today’s police.
‘With a camera crew permanently in tow, annunciation, posture, and a big smile are more important than ever,’ said Thape.
‘A clever nickname is paramount. The very best officers will go on to do Celebrity Big Brother,’ added Thape.
