School holidays to last 52 weeks to thin the morning traffic

The government has agreed to extend the school holidays to 52 weeks each year to help make traffic flow easier in the morning rush hour.

Motorists have noticed a huge increase in traffic on the roads this week, and largely support the new government initiative.

Local parent, Peter Thape dreads the first week in September, having cut his morning drive to work by half over the summer.

‘Good idea from the government, I support it,’ said Thape.

‘The kids don’t want to go to school, so we’re all winners,’ added Thape.
