Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose have re-ordered an extra 10,000,000 Donald Trump masks in time for Halloween, after supermarket shelves were left bare by the nation’s children.
Tesco CEO, Peter Thape admits that he misread the situation this year, after loading the shelves with clown outfits, following the relaunch of Stephen King’s It.
But Thape has accepted that children want real monsters, and can no longer reasonably scare one another with a fictional demon or a hooded ghost figure.
‘We don’t need to sell the kids witches and ghouls anymore; Halloween’s taking care of itself,’ said Thape.
‘It’s a pity this Harvey Weinstein business didn’t come out three months ago. We could have shifted millions of those,’ added Thape.
