A tangerine, which has been duct-taped to the wall, has sold for a staggering two million dollars at an exhibition in Miami.

The artwork is from the new Peter Thape collection, and celebrates fruits and various household items fixed to a wall.

Thape has included a grape fixed with masking tape, and a toothpick fixed with PVA in his stunning new work.

‘I think it outsold the banana fixed with duct tape because of the Christmas season,’ said Thape.

‘Next year, I hope to create more nonsense to sell to pretentious fools,’ added Thape.
