Murial Hislop from East Sussex has now taken enough free wallpaper from B & Q that she can finish papering the bedroom wall.
Hislop (35) from Eastbourne has taken advantage of B & Q’s inconsistent theft policy, which allows customers to leave the store without paying for samples of wallpaper.
Hislop noticed that the length of a sample was an arbitrary amount and so eventually worked up the courage to take the several 2.5 meters lengths that she needed to finish the job.
‘We also need a sample of a power drill,’ said Hislop.
‘I hope they have the same policy on that cordless Makita with twin battery pack,’ added Hislop.
