Former Manchester City, and Sunderland star, Adam Johnson is to become the new manager of the England Women’s team.
Johnson has had a distinguished playing career, winning 12 full caps at international level, and being a part of the Manchester City team that won both the F.A. Cup and Premier League in his time there.
F.A. Chief, Peter Thape believes that the Football Association have finally got the right man in charge, after a controversial-filled few months with the now deposed, Mark Sampson.
‘Adam is the right guy for this job; he loves the women,’ said Thape.
‘We’ve had a look at his past, and I don’t think we’ll have any problems like we did with Sampson,’ added Thape.
