Cockfighting season to be suspended

The National Association of Cockfighting (NAC) have taken the difficult decision to suspend the season until the late summer.

Tonight’s coverage on Sky Sports 2 will be cancelled, with BT Sport reassuring fans that the season could still go ahead without fans.

NAC Chief, Peter Thape told Cutting News that all sport had a duty not to use valuable resources in these unprecedented times.

‘We can have 200-300 police officers on duty at some of our bigger fights,’ said Thape.

‘I’m afraid the Dog Fighting World Championships may also be put back until 2021,’ added Thape.
