‘I should have worn a waistcoat,’ says Sam Allardyce

Sam Allardyce is ruing his decision not to wear a waistcoat when he had his time in charge of the National team.

Allardyce, who was due to take England to the World Cup before getting his chubby fingers caught in the sweet jar, says that he gave Gareth Southgate the idea of wearing the fashion sizzler.

Allardyce claims that Southgate spied on him in the one hour that Allardyce was manager of England, in which time he tried on six or seven waistcoats.

‘We’d have finished third if I was manager,’ said Allardyce.

‘Kane would have scored seven. We’d have twatted it upfront for him – plan A,’ added Allardyce.
