Manchester United will take the place of Manchester City in next season’s Champions League, after UEFA accused City of cheating their finances.
UEFA have asked that the team finishing in 5th place In England should qualify, which in this case is Arsenal, who may qualify anyway by winning the Europa League.
UEFA representative, Peter Thape has confirmed that Man Utd will take City’s place next season, although they will have to play in City’s kit.
‘If City are found guilty, then the League title in England will also be stripped from them,’ insisted Thape.
‘And, as is the tradition, the team finishing in 6th place will be awarded the trophy,’ added Thape.
