Parents asked to take under 6’s football more seriously

The FA have set down new guidelines for the watching parents of under 6’s football in order to help to bring the next generation of players into line with the current standards.

Parents of opposing teams are being asked to stand separate from one another, harangue the referee, and contest every throw-in as if their lives depended upon it.

They are also urged to applaud the child who can kick it the furthest, encourage your children to waste time if winning, and be visibly frustrated when the manager substitutes your child for the fat kid. Peter Thape is Head of Development for the junior game.

‘It’s important to encourage your child to be the sporting success that you were not,’ said Thape.

‘If we abide by these standards, England will continue to have the greatest league in the world.’ Thape added.
