The Premier League has insisted that children up to the age of five be in charge of the new Video Assistant Referees system for all football fixtures.
Small children will be in sole charge of drawing straight lines across the pitch to help with vital offside decisions.
Huddersfield Town fan, Little Bobby Thape (Aged 5) worked on last night’s FA Cup tie with Manchester United, but admits that he’d forgotten to bring his ruler with him.
‘I’ll be honest, I don’t really understand the term parallel – I’m only five,’ said Little Bobby.
‘Plus, I didn’t really want us to go two down just before half time,’ added Little Bobby.
