Winter break needed so that footballers can play lots of matches on tour

The Premier League is considering a winter break in the playing schedule to help clubs tour in far-off places and play lots more matches.

The winter break will also help the clubs generate some much needed revenue, and allow them the opportunity to boost the paltry incomes of their players and their agents.

Football fan, Peter Thape is looking forward to finding the extra subscription money to watch his resting players play in an eight team tournament in America or China next January.

‘These players shouldn’t be expected to play on perfectly green, manicured, heated pitches in this country,’ said Thape.

‘They’re exhausted, these lads. Some of them are playing football up to twice a week,’ added Thape.
