FIFA, the governing body of football, have decided to take action against those fans who accidently hold a football scarf upside down, or the wrong way around.

From January, all those people who are unable to lift a scarf above their own heads correctly will have to write and apologise to those irritated viewers, who were watching on the TV at the time. In order to get a comprehensive list of those watching, the offenders will initially need to write to everyone. Those who cannot write, will need to attend a three day training course in Scarf Holding & Arm-raising Awareness.

‘I enjoyed the course, and am a better fan for it,’ said fan, Peter Thape.

‘Before the course I was also putting on most of my clothes back-to-front too,’ Thape added.
